We leave nothing to chance!. We manufacture cutters for slitting HR & CR strips of MS, SS, and Brass, Copper or any other ferrous/non ferrous metal. Slitting Cutters made from AISI D2, D3, Hot Die or Shock Resistant Steel up to 700 mm OD and other dimension as per your drawings. The cutters can be supplied in precision and extra precision grades depending on their application. Thickness tolerances made upto 0.002 mm, extra precision parallelism and flatness. Knife face ground finish upto 0.2 Ra. Suitable for slitting non ferrous metal like aluminum & brass as well as ferrous metal materials like mild steel CRGO, CRNGO, & stainless steels. Range from 0.1 mm to 16 mm thick strip. Foil slitting cutter for foil thickness <0.1 mm. We can also supply Carbide Slitters for CRGO/Foil.
Versatile Application RangeThese slitting cutters are engineered to handle a wide spectrum of materials, from hot rolled (HR) and cold rolled (CR) to galvanized (GI, GP), grain-oriented (CRGO), and non-grain-oriented silicon steel (CRNGO, CRNO). Their adaptability ensures seamless operation across various industrial slitting processes, maximizing productivity and output consistency.
Premium Material SelectionManufactured from high-grade Carbon Steel, Carbide, High Speed Steel, Stainless Steel, and Cobalt Alloy, our cutters deliver exceptional hardness and wear resistance. This ensures extended tool life, reduced maintenance frequency, and precise, burr-free cuts throughout their service life in demanding environments.
FAQs of HR/CR/GP/GI/CRGO/CRNGO/CRNO SLITTING CUTTERS:
Q: How are HR/CR/GP/GI/CRGO/CRNGO/CRNO slitting cutters typically used in industry?
A: These slitting cutters are commonly employed in the metal processing industry to precisely slit sheets or coils of HR, CR, GP, GI, CRGO, CRNGO, and CRNO materials into narrower strips, which are then used in various manufacturing applications such as electrical, automotive, and construction.
Q: What materials are these slitting cutters made from and why are they chosen?
A: Our slitting cutters are crafted from Carbon Steel, Carbide, High Speed Steel, Stainless Steel, and Cobalt Alloy. These materials offer superior cutting performance, longevity, and resistance to wear, making them suitable for continuous industrial use on a variety of metal types.
Q: When should I consider replacing or regrinding these slitting cutters?
A: It is advisable to replace or regrind slitting cutters when you notice a decline in cutting precision, burr formation, or increased resistance during operation. Regular inspection as part of routine maintenance helps determine the optimal timing for replacement or reconditioning.
Q: Where can these slitting cutters be used?
A: These cutters are primarily used in industrial settings such as steel service centers, coil processing plants, and manufacturing units that handle a range of sheet metal materials, particularly in India and for export markets.
Q: What is the process for manufacturing these slitting cutters?
A: The manufacturing process involves selecting high-quality raw materials, precision machining to required dimensions (150mm to 1500mm diameter), followed by heat treatment, grinding, and finishing to achieve a sharp, durable cutting edge suitable for industrial slitting.
Q: How do these cutters benefit my production line?
A: Utilizing these robust slitting cutters enhances throughput by ensuring clean, accurate cuts and minimizing machine downtime due to tool wear. Their reliability and durability help maintain production consistency and reduce overall operational costs.
